As Director and CEO of totalphysio, I bring a
wealth of experience to your physiotherapy treatment.
Having received
physiotherapy treatment for
many injuries, I have a personal understanding of how aches and
pains
we all suffer affect our
every day lives and the importance of
not only alleviating these problems but
addressing the
biomechanical limitations
to prevent them from
re-occuring.
Although originally
from Melbourne, I trained at the
University of
Wales, College of Medicine in Cardiff and
graduated with
Honours. It
was there that I became involved in sports physiotherapy providing
treatment to the
Welsh Hockey
Association and the Welsh Rugby Union
teams.
More recently I was
the sole physiotherapist for the
Queensland Hardcourt tennis championship here in Kawana.
Apart from an
interest in sports, I have also furthered my
education
in low back pain utilising the McKenzie
technique. I
believe in a
holistic approach to treatment using both hands on soft tissue
therapies and
an education
component that
allows you to understand your condition
and manage it through an ongoing home exercise
program.
Hydrotherapy,
neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation
also forms part of my treatment interests.
So if you are
seeking treatment for post operative,
neurological,
sports or spinal rehabilitation or workplace injuries
that not only
help alleviate your pain but offer long term solution, then please
don't hesitate to contact me at
totalphysio.
If you would like me to look after you, I
am available at our Warana practice, Monday to Saturday.
I
offer
Hydrotherapy at the Kawana Aquatic Centre 3 days/week for a group
class or one-on-one session.
If
you are stuck at home in pain, then I
am able to offer you home visits.
For
those wanting rehabilitation at
the gym, I can prepare a gym program especially designed for you.

If you are prone to
sports injuries after a lay off
period or mid season, my experience in treating international sports
people may interest you. This experience includes work at the MRF
pace academy in India (Dennis Lilly's fast bowling team). I have
also worked with the Chemplast Cricket team, the state champions for
seven consecutive years, in Chennai India.
My expertise in sports
injury is also backed up by a Bachelor Degree in Exercise
Science.
Or perhaps my extensive knowledge
in respiratory physiotherapy may be
of some benefit for you. I have developed a Respiratory Program involving a
thorough education and exercise regime,
incorporating education
provided by speech patholgy, occupational therapy, pharmacy, dietetics,
social work and physiotherapy. So if you suffer from respiratory
conditions such as emphysema, chronic obstructive airways disease
(COAD), chronic bronchitis or bronchiectasis, I can provide you with up
to date treatments accompanied by a progressive exercise program.
Further, I also have an interest
in all musculo-skeletal conditions and
believe in providing all encompassing treatment strategy which includes
strengthening structures to limit further injury.
Have you tried Acupuncture?
Why not give it a go and see for
yourself the changes Acupuncture can make to your health and well
being.
If you would like me to take over your care I am
available at our Warana practice from Monday
to Saturday for all musculo-skeletal and sports injuries.
I provide treatments in rooms, home visits, hydrotherapy and Vibrogym
sessions.
